I'll echo the others in saying hope you're better soon @Selleri, and that it's not affecting you too badly.
There's a village up here called Dull, near Aberfeldy. It's twinned with Boring in the States

My moan for today is - why are jobs that should be relatively straightforward always the complete opposite.
A new fence post to put in, but I couldn't detach the batten on the inside of the old one [long story] and had to remove all the fence planks from that section [which are mainly old and knackered] and take that out as well as the rotten post, so it took hours. It was bad enough removing the planks from the actual fence post. The 'putting in of the post' was the quick bit.
All the planks, apart from a few, could really do with being completely redone, so it wasn't easy removing them without breaking them, but that's a bridge too far financially at the moment. Maybe next year....:help:

We have visited friends in No Name in Colorado and they live just off No Name Lane :rolleyespink:. It's just off Interstate 70.

Last week I was at Innominate (means not named) Tarn in the Lake District. That's where the famous author/walker, Alfred Wainright's ashes were scattered.

I've been to Hell, and back :)! (Grand Cayman) There was a small post office there where you could send a postcard, stamped Hell. The jagged exposed coral stone in the area was the origin of its name.

                    But no post office!!

In Belgium there are two villages whose names always intrigued me - Silly and Wierde.

Certainly. I have tried to visit many times but the bus drivers are awfully rude and never stop :noidea:

I viewed a house in a place called Downhill. I had to take a bus as I couldn't face taking a taxi. "Where are you going pet?" (in subdued voice) "Downhill".

And thanks everyone for your sympathy and well wishes, there is a slight chance I might survive. :)

True, mass migration is a lot more complex, but I doubt climate change is the main reason.
In January 2021 the UK launched a new visa scheme for Hong Kong residents, I think nearly 150k are now residing in the UK since the scheme was launched, the new visa scheme would of made 2.9 million residents and another 2.3 million dependants eligible to move to the UK.

The NINo registration data base is also interesting as it gives a break down of citizenship when applying. From 2007 to 2014 there was an average of roughly 330k successful NINo registrations to EU nationals annually. Even though the EU expanded in 2007 when Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU there was no significant increase in NINo registrations, the reason being there was restrictions imposed regarding free movement within the EU for 7 years. When the restrictions were lifted in 2014 the registrations for a NINo from EU citizens doubled, there was more NINo registrations by Bulgarian and Romanian nationals than the rest of the EU combined. Then you have the Ukraine nationals that are temporary in the UK and how many will stay or go back.

The UK population has shot up and I don't see the evidence they are fleeing due to climate change.
