    I don't see why the seat needs to be raised at all. Surely there's a big enough hole for any man to point Percy and do the business without wetting the seat!
    Where can I get one of those chinesium snappers?

      Well you would moan if there was piddle on the seat, lifting it up avoids the problem.
      Thats why its on hinges:biggrin:

        Its had a lot of money spent on it, been totally gutted by the looks of it and had structural work done.
        I assume its also about the location?

        Wonder what it was worth be for all the alterations.

        Acronyms which I alone seem not to understand. WASPI is my latest little problem one. I've been toying with Women Against Social Pressure/Power/P*ssing or even Wombats Against Stupid People but can't find a suitable I for either of these :frown: Perhaps some kind person could enlighten me please ?
        As to Foreign Aid - I can certainly vouch for the fact that a lot of it "goes astray" and ends up for sale in local markets. When my OH was working in Zambia in the late 80's, he was aware that many of the local people who worked with him couldn't afford to buy decent clothing. Whilst back in the UK on leave, we bought various items of clothing/shoes, etc for him to take back. Most of it was "confiscated" at the airport along with his cash. A long time ago now and just one instance albeit on a small scale but I doubt things have really improved much on aid getting to those really in need of it rather than simply lining the pockets of others.

            I have a 3 piece Dolphin scene bathroom set, one for around the loo, one in front of the sink and one on the loo lid, so I need the lid down.

              @Philippa

              I'm very surprised anyone doesn't know about the terrible injustice suffered by women born in the 1950s. Please google it, it's a national scandal affecting many more than the post office horizon debacle.

                Thank you @JWK I was born in 1950 and certainly suffered many injustices in both the work place ( mainly from the opposite gender ) and from "Govt. policy " in the following decades. I could, if I put my mind to it, probably come up with some interesting acronyms myself. However, yes, I will look up the correct meaning of WASPI and see if it rings any bells for me. Thanks again:)

                  The hole is big enough, but the wider the better - makes it easier to see the waterline, lest we dip the end in the water ;)

                    I has had a lot of work, no doubt, but that is silly money for a three bed semi by anyone's standards. Nothing particularly special about the area really - nice enough, but nothing outstanding.

                      Often near certain schools or railway stations.
                      They have probably put it in high with a view you can always come down.

                      I dont know much about property prices but there seems to be some very very ordinary stuff around here going for stupid prices.
                      Especially bungalows.

                        I can see t that we might need a bungalow eventually. There are many others like us and a limited number of bungalows. That's why they're expensive, particularly if they are close to shops, hospital, transport links etc.
