Assuming you mean the next pandemic?
Yes I assume it's being cooked up in some lab as we speak.

I suppose pandemics are bound to be more likely as we as people are now being intensitively farmed and part of a monoculture..

We should all be safe come the next pandemic. After all we've all been implanted with microchips.

Apparently the next one is likely to be a form of bird flu, with a very high mortality rate. (Small changes to half a dozen sites within the virus is all it takes to make it super-deadly to humans apparently.) But, fear not, because vaccines are already being stockpiled in readiness.

The goals of mandatory vaccination schemes, passports, and tracking surveillance were not quite achieved last time. Next time though ...

              Good afternoon:smile:

This paper provides an update on progress of how the NHS Vaccination Strategy is being delivered going into Autumn 2024, a vaccination season which will include COVID-19, seasonal influenza (flu) and a new Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccination programme in England.

These copycat riots have to be stamped down on and stamped down on very hard. Bring in water cannon with indelible dye. Give rioters 5 minutes to disperse then spray everybody remaining. Imprison every last one of them. If that means 10 to a cell in our overcrowded prisons, so be it. I'm utterly sick of the selfish minority making life a misery for the majority.

And maybe that should apply to intimidating gangs outside schools issuing death threats because they don't like something on the curriculum too.

The problem with any protest these days is disruptors can escalate things to make sure no issue can ever be aired. We need to find a way round that or else govs are free to shut down dissent and impose whatever they like.

Starmer has not done anything to calm things down - he has simply poured petrol on the fire and fanned the flames.

There are a great many in society who are sick and tired of politicians (of all varieties) making stupid decisions and leaving us with the bill; sick and tired of reading about stabbing after stabbing, murder after murder on our streets, sick and tired of knowing that they will never be able to afford their own home and worrying how they will cope if and when they retire, knowing full well that they've no hope of any council housing as that is going to immigrants arriving faster than we can build the houses; sick and tired of seeing public services that are broken, whilst paying more and more for them; sick and tired of being castigated for having the temerity to own and run a car to get to work; sick and tired of being ticketed for doing 22-mph in a 20-mph zone that was a 30-mph zone only weeks before, whilst seeing masked individuals on e-scooters clearing shop shelves and disappearing unchallenged; sick and tired of being called racist or xenophobic simply because they are worried about sheer numbers of people coming in; sick and tired of being called racist or xenophobic despite having been welcoming to people from all over the world for decades, yet having some of those who have arrived now refusing to accept our values, behaviours and abide by our laws - - but most of all, sick and tired of seeing two-tiered policing, which bluntly if you haven't seen it, you've not been looking. All of those people hadn't said as much as a murmur, hadn't gone out in the streets, and many still haven't - - but for Starmer to come out after the riot in Southport and lay the blame on the "far right" (political speak for white people that haven't voted Labour, by the way) whilst completely ignoring the riots in Harehills the prior week and indeed three coppers taking a beating at Manchester Airport with the entire fall out from that being to immediately throw the coppers under the bus....

Everybody has a breaking point and it seems that many have now reached it.

I don't agree with violence and rioting, but I am not surprised one bit that we are seeing it, because people are fed up of being wholly ignored except when being the recipient of various smart-arsed, hackneyed labels.

Again, the media is complicit. Their agenda of labels used derogatorily for some groups but not others. What they report, what they leave out. Etc, etc.

I don't know what the answer is as media controls never work well, but this sort of chaos favours one group - the wealthy elite. It distracts focus away from them and they are safe from the fallout of unrest, with their gated homes and private security, their ability to move around the world easily and at short notice, their protection by govs and the police.

The media is vastly complicit - there are a LOT of people in society that do not have a clue about a significant chunk of what is going on, mostly because their only source of media is BBC or Sky News. When they are shown even small snippets of what is happening, they almost refuse to believe it, mostly because they've not seen it appear on those same news channels.

There was live footage flying around yesterday that would make most folks hair curl with behaviours from ALL sides that are beyond the pale, with only ever one side of it being shown on the TV.

See that Stamers getting is priority’s sorted good old Liebour.
Sir Keir Starmer is facing mounting criticism this morning after it emerged he is planning to leave for his first holiday as Prime Minister despite the rioting crisis.

The revelations of the Prime Minister’s plan for a summer break emerged last night, with Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner set to take the helm of Government in his place.

Yes just had an election, now they can all sod off on holiday, won't be back for weeks now.
They have just done enough to stir the dung heap now wander off and hope it settles.
