No surprise there - rules are changed on a regular basis if it suits those who make them. Pity they don't make any attempt to change the rules on how much insurance companies - along with others - are allowed to rip people off.
Nah........probably expecting a bit too much on that

I know that when I was working, last century, the CEO of the town council had told all heads of departments that if I contacted them about something I said was wrong, they should accept that I'm correct - or refer it back to him. It did help that I also did freebie work for the council in their consumer advice department. :heehee:

Stay safe @Michael Hewett. I'm looking forward to seeing all your improvements and have enjoyed your renovation progress in the garden.

Look after yourself and there's plenty of people who will listen if you need an ear, or a shoulder . x

How long were they in opposition, with time to work these things out? :wallbanging:

I broadly agree with the concept. Money earned from work should not be taxed more than "free" money from interest, investments, etc. But it isn't rocket science. Just close all the loopholes and level the tax thresholds for all types of income. There! Sorted.

The trouble is, they are still behaving as though they are in opposition.. still in campaigning/activism mode. Parliament as a whole is nothing but an overblown, paid-for version of a college debating hall... and most of the politicians don't seem to have realised that they are not in college anymore.

I just think they have found their manifesto is now working against them, same old story, you can promise whatever you like to con the public into voting for you, but its almost like they are now having their bluff called.
