Ah, I am lucky - there is a fairly large Primark in our local town shopping centre, but parking is pretty good and it isn't too far to walk. Handy for cheap joggers and t-shirts, especially for knocking about in the garden.

I buy online at Next and collect or take it back at the shop which is out of town.
I'm not one to linger in shops if I can help it.

I only like the Primark's and large shops of the world that are in close proximity to a pub. My Mrs and daughter can linger (not spending) as much as they want in them.

Completely agree re the models' facial expressions! :th scifD36: And they are all the wrong age and, dare I say it, shape for the average M&S customer. If Marks catered for its actual customer base, it would sell a lot more.

Posters for gyms are best (or worst?).

I get it. The message is supposed to be, if you give us loads of money, you will end up looking like these super fit people. But here's my issue with it. People who do actually look like that are already motivated to put in the immense self discipline and effort needed to get like that. Those people don't need marketing to pull them in. They're going to the gym anyway. The marketing is aimed at normal shaped people, with normal lives where they eat actual food and sometimes drink beer and dare I say it, eat a bacon sarnie. Those people are never going to look like the people on the gym posters, and they know it, but they might still want to join to boost their fitness. So, either way, the models on the posters are not appropriate in my opinion. It doesn't really bother me. It just seems odd that someone chose to spend the marketing bill on what seems to be an assumption based on a stereotype, without really questions what might really win over the target audience.

Bit of a strange one, Yesterday I gave the car its annual wash, I do it regularly whether it needs it or not.
Went out this morning and the roof was covered in dead flies, not parked under a tree or anything like that, its like the flies just wanted to commit suicide and stuck themselves to the roof.

Did you use some soap that would have attracted the flies ? Maybe you shouldn't have washed it.
                      The rain washes mine.

I used a very old bottle of wash and wax, I was thinking similar, there was something in it that attracted the flies.

Ours get washed when mucky and that depends on weather - rural lanes so muddy at the edges where cars go on the verge to pass oncoming traffic, especially huge tractors traipsing mud off fields. There's also a quarry of volcanic stone on the road between us and the village and that gets dusty/muddy from trucks coming away with big loads.

Add to that Sahara sand and splatted insects and the front and back windscreens have needed a weekly wash in the weather we've been having lately.

Mine used to get an annual car wash - if it was lucky! I now get a free monthly car wash with my car insurance but don't always use it. So, those times, Mrs Shiney's car gets two washes a month.

Although Mrs Shiney still tells the story of the time I was selling my car through the local paper. I sent them the ad to be put in and they emailed back saying I was entitled to send a picture of the car to be included free of charge. So I washed one side of the car and took a photo and sent it. :loll:
