Round here, @noisette47, unless you're prepared to drive to Nantes, Angers or La Rochelle, there is limited choice for many things, especially fabrics, haberdashery, crafty stuff so you have to buy online. Same with plants - plenty of GCs but limited range and daft prices.

I have 2 British friends here whom I see infrequently. All the ladies at patch group and the people at garden club are French and discerning. I don't see any of them complaining about lack of choice or quality in consumer goods and food apart form moans that prices have definitely risen for the weekly shop.

 

Well I tend to buy British if I can in some things but to be honest I only tend to try to avoid crap, so if it looks rubbish its probably Chinese IMO.

 

Not a moan as this must add to Musk's woes - shame.

Most times I go into the garden the so called neighbours is standing in her upstairs window watching what I am doing ,, you can feel the eyes .. she thinks I can’t see her behind the blinds but I can .. next time I am going to shout hello and wave lol
