Even if allowed onto supermarket shelves and supermarkets agree to stock it, you cannot be forced to buy it and consume it.
It would most likely be found in lower priced prepared meals and cheap burger and chicken joints.
You could also have a good excuse for going vegetarian if being fed a hospital or prison.

I agree nobody can be forced to buy anything, but would it be clearly labelled with its country of origin so people could at least be aware?

Annoyingly our washing machine didn't want to work this morning. I got summoned to attend to it (I'm useless at DIY of any sort) and there was a small flashing symbol and the machine was beeping and wouldn't start.

It is ten years old and no longer a little kid and is old enough to know it shouldn't play up when we're busy. :heehee:

So I had to go into my files and dig out the handbook. It turns out that the childproof lock had activated  and once I had spent time ploughing through the book I found out how to turn the lock off. All it needed was for the start button to be held in for five seconds .

A waste of half an hour for both of us.

          This is the problem.

Locks to thwart children and persons called @shiney, eh? ;)

I reckon your average 5 year old would have worked that out.

Don't we have this red tractor symbol on British farm produce.

The Red Tractor symbol met with some criticism a few years ago - can't remember the details but I think it was proved to be misleading in some instances.

I wish we had the option to buy non-childproof stuff. I regularly struggle with bottles, most recently a seaweed feed, and it gets worse as I get older. I never have children in the house.

I've always thought that if people want child proof caps they should buy them separately and every one else should be allowed to just use ordinary ones.

I often cut the outer cap off of these stupid ones that you have to push down or squeeze, I then throw the cap away and reuse the modified one.

Some times it a matter of removing lugs inside the cap.

That’s probably what stopped Turnip from drinking the bleach he recommended as a Covid cure.

No nothing to do with child proof caps, children can always get into them it's the parents that can't.
It's more the case that total plonkers seem to have an enhanced (totally subconscious) survival instinct and a hyperactive guardian angel.

Don't worry, I'm regressing quickly so should soon be able to work it out. When I get down to the equivalent of a three year old I might be able to know how to work my new printer properly!

@shiney If my 4 year old great nephew is anything to go by, you aren't wrong. The way he flicks through screens on his tablet has me going dizzy.

Bought a new pair of glasses from an online supplier, only had them about a week and one of the lenses has fallen out already.
                              Absolute rubbish.

No family and no children but could do with a reputable "child loan" organisation to get me thru the tech stuff - would prove extremely helpful
