    No microwave, @Bluejayway. :sad:

    @Michael Hewett, :biggrin:!

    I recently got an electric HWB. It's not perfect as it is rather overfull to lie comfortably on and the temp is hard to control, but I am reclined upon it right now. I usually have a spare, but I had not been using the last one long and I gave another one I had to my sister when she was staying and a pulled muscle was disturbing her sleep and she found it so helpful, she took it home with her.

    I do have a couple of mini ones, but the stopper area digs in uncomfortably as the surface area is too small to have this away at the side.

      I thought that was what they put round horses necks.

        "There's a hole in my hot water bottle, dear Lisa, dear Lisa" It doesn't have quite the same ring to it as 'my bucket'.

          Had a reply from Boots about the mislabelled slippers, to be told that the website says ‘made in China’. I emailed back with an attached photo of the web page. Got a reply from someone else saying that her colleague has confirmed that they are made in China. No mention of the photo I sent. I’ve written back, seems daft for a £10 item I can return anyway, but I don’t like being contradicted, when the evidence is still sitting in full view on their website! Maybe I’m just spoiling for a fight! No hardship, and I’ll enjoy the exchange of words with their customer complaints department.

            There has been an increase in severe burns from hot water bottles since the fuel prices rose. The rubber has a very short life and they're supposed to be chucked out within two or three years.

            A microwaveable heat pad might be safer. Or an electrically heated pad.

            They probably have to add something else to the unsalty crisps to ensure they still taste of something.

              @ViewAhead I don't think a a hardy fuchsia growing between 4-6ft is going to be happy with confined roots.

              Why is anyone buying crisps? They're an incredible expensive and unhealthy way to eat potatoes which deserve more cuminary respect anyway.

                  I'm on a strict diet permanently and there's not much joy in the food I can eat, but I can eat Tyrell's lightly salted crisps - as a treat. They are the only crisps I've found with next to no ingredients. Potatoes, sea salt and sunflower oil.

                    I'm sorry your diet is restricted @Sheal but, with the same ingredients and maybe some garlic/herbs/spices if allowed, you could have roast potatoes. Much more interesting.

                      I'd stop while you're ahead @Obelix-Vendée. :biggrin:

                      No spices, no roast potatoes. Fats and oils kept to a minimum because I can't omit them completely. No beef. I'm also gluten free and....then there's the things I don't like, including most herbs. Pre-packed 'anything' is pretty much a non starter because most of it contains wheat.

                        I buy Smiths Salt and Shake and do not add the salt. Plus Tyrrells Naked (no salt). Yum Yum.

                          Oh, I ordered the Fuchsia in its 9cm pot because Victoriana nursery seems to be the only supplier I can find. Typical of me to want something that's like hens teeth! :biggrin:

                          9cm pot cost £5.95. Royal mail delivery £5.75 and takes 5-7 days. Courier £19-22 depending on chosen option. Delivery sometime or never in my area.

                            I didn't know you could still get saltless crisps, @waterbut . That will please my OH, who can search for some next time he's in the UK. Here in Ireland it's hard enough to buy any crisps which aren't slathered in far too much flavouring and salt.
