Are you saying they park outside the house they are visiting when they arrive, and then move the vehicle further away so they won't disturb the people they are visiting when they leave? That sounds a very odd thing to do. If you mean not parking outside the house they are visiting as a general action, only one car can park outside our house so additional visitors will have to park elsewhere. As long as the vehicles are taxed, insured and MOT'd if required they can park anywhere as long as they arent breaking any laws or parking regs.

Thank you for your reply @gks. Daughter booked direct. It was absolutely no customer service by EasyJet. There were about 80 odd people affected needing to find a room for the night. The passengers were told twice the flight was going to be delayed and then when they were in the departure lounge they were just informed the flight had been cancelled and basically bad luck you are on your own. Then the search began to find someone to ask what to do. They had to go back down into the main part of the airport and eventually found someone, nothing to do with EasyJet who told them to go to the nearest airport hotel and book for the night. Then the big hunt for another flight started.Of course there were many people all trying to find flights so as soon as you found one someone else had booked it. EasyJet offered an alternative flight 2 DAYS later. There were people trying to get to their destinations having to book maybe 3 different flights as no direct ones were available. My daughter had to book a flight to Hamburg and then to Edinburgh as nothing for 2 days from Berlin to Edinburgh. There were 2 girls she was talking to who were having to take a flight to some part of the UK and then getting a train! What may I ask happens if you are maxed out on the credit/ debit card and don’t have enough funds to pay for accommodation and replacement flight/s?.
My daughter who is self employed had to cancel clients, all in all a complete mess. She was meant to get to Edinburgh about 10.30pm on the Monday, she actually got to Edinburgh about midnight on the Tuesday, not pleased and very tired with all the stress and hanging about. On top of all that she got charged I think it was £45 on the flight to Berlin as her carry on bag which she has used before without issue was deemed about 10mm too big, she was raging! Ok she got compensation and reimbursements for the out of pocket expenses for flights/ hotel/ taxi etc but that did not make her feel any better and as far as she is concerned never again unless there is an absolute emergency.
Gone are the days when it was a pleasure to fly and you were given great service. I too am at the stage of avoiding flying when I can and cannot remember the last time flying anywhere was a pleasure with all the rigmarole prior to even getting on a plane. It is not just budget flights which are hellish in my experience. I had a couple of less than pleasant flights when visiting the USA. There was b all “ have a nice day” and I all but missed a flight and was virtually strip searched at Newark airport. Why? because I had a comb with a thin metal handle. Did I get even a sorry as I was putting my clothes back on?No……sigh!

If they are going to debate it, bearing in mind they have a large majority, it all seem pretty pointless.

It's probably the only way to protest peacefully and get a parliamentary debate @pete. Better than riots or a general strike which would also be noticed but be costly to tax payers and voters.

Obviously the next question is, who else would you pick.
I dont see anyone who is a real alternative to be honest.

Modern day politicians do seem to fall short of what their electorates deserve these days and not just in the UK. This is one way of letting them know we are not happy.

I think they are under more scrutiny these days, I really dont think all the underhand dealings that go on are anything new, possibly they are dipping in the trough to a greater extent these days.

Going by recent polls, if there was a general election today the Labour party would likely loose 200 seats, including the likes of, Angela Rayner, Wes Streeting, Ed Miliband, Yvette Copper, John Healy, Jonathan Reynolds, Bridget Phillipson would all loose their seats to reform, GE please and good riddance to Miliband.

@gks would that be landfill bins, recycling bins, green waste or empty bottles?

I dont really believe polls, they always change when reality dawns.
i voted reform in the last election but only because the main ones are all the same, obviously Starmer has proved that wrong.

I dont see how you can vote for any of them anymore as they just say things to get elected and once in, are "guided", by the civil service morons that just impose more of the same.
I assume the grey people saw Starmer as a soft touch and ripe to take the flack for what they wanted to do for a long time, leaving gormless to get it in the neck and make the excuses.

I'm even less convinced that who we vote for actually makes the decisions.

If you want to see a couple of good documentary series about Parliament, watch 'Yes Minister' and 'Yes Prime Minister'. I know when they came out in the '80s they were supposedly a satirical look at politics. They certainly seem real now.
The scary thing is though that they seem as fresh as ever now. Nothing has changed, or certainly nothing has improved.
As for the polls, I don't believe them either but this time pray they will be accurate when the next election comes round. For once, a hung parliament with none being anywhere near a majority would probably be the 'least worst' outcome.
