I'm closer to that name than you :heehee:. More than twice your age - and don't have a mobile.

You'd be welcome to it. It was just a name I could remember as my usual moniker was already taken when I signed up to the GW forum. Luckily it didn't stick beyond high school and I was given a new one at uni.

There was a guy that got called cabbage at primary school because he brought a cabbage into class one time and he's still called that to this day.

When I write a comment I can see my avatar photo with 'no mood' written under it.
After I click 'Post Reply' and the comment appears to everyone, only then can I see the rest of the information under the photo.

Perhaps being a bit pedantic here, but headlines which say "This will rewrite history" really irritate me. No it won't, it will change our knowledge of and interpretation of history, but the history itself remains the same. You cannot change the past only ones perception of it.

And another thing that gets my goat. "New programmes" that are repeats of repeats of repeats.

My moan for today is why the pigeons haven't eaten our left over sprouts - I thought they liked brassicas?

That ad makes me never want to book with them. 'On The Beach' is off my list. :paladin:

Simon, the person who set the company up has moved to non-Exec Director. Shaun, who is now CEO, earns half a million a year. Obviously other people don't care how awful the ad is. :noidea:

Why do they make tv controls so small now that you need finger tips as pointy as pinheads to use them ! My finger tips seem to cover 3 buttons at once and I have to try using my nails to press one at a time ... modern people must have dainty little fingers ...
And small tv controls are easy to lose :frown:

Even more irritating when they advertise them as "Brand new and exclusive" when I watched the programme years ago on a different channel.

You can tune most remote controls to any Tv. We have bought a few new ones over the years when the original ones wore out o malfunctioned.
