Lawn's a quagmire - help!

          Thanks for putting my post back up!

          Anyway back to the topic! A lot of lawns this year are totally saturated due to the amount of rain we've had. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to remedy it now, unless you've had a big problem in previous years due to a heavy soil.

          It is much easier to apply any sharp sand top-dress in the dry and tramping all over sodden lawn will do much more harm than good. Just leave it for now ... We will get some better days soon!

              Thanks Kris, yes it is gardening sand that I have. It seems to have cleaned it up for me to walk on. Mirafloris, that path looks good but I am only talking about 6ft of lawn between my patio and the border where the lilac tree is. The sand will allow the grass to continue to grow so it is ideal for now. Thanks everyone for your contribution and Kris welcome to Gardens Corner.

              We still have to wade/swim through areas formerly known as "lawn". Still, at least the ducks are happy :doh:
