Looks super. And you've got a handy water tap inside it!
Hope you've got it bolted down into the flags.

Yes Dave - glass not in yet as Martin still bolting frame down, he has drilled more holes than supplied as he was not happy with what they suggested - of course the stable wall takes a good load of the weight too.

As to letting the light in tig - I have had a similar visual problem to yours, that is what aspect should I position things in to get most light, then I realize there is light all day through glass - well in summer there wil be.

As to planting dendy, my house resembles que garden, I have so many plants in the house they are all kewing up to get into greenhouse WHEN it is actually complated!

Just seen this Waco - that really is going to be great - such a lot of space - and who cares if you find yourself in it - must say I would miss the horse too though ;)

Waco that looks a really good size - I am very envious. It opens up quite a lot of possibilities. You could grow more tender plants in the garden and overwinter them, as well as growing greenhouse plants.

    Hi Waco
That looks great! Just the right size too :D

Looking at the stable wall there might be space above the greenhouse to fit a full length (pull out?) awning that could shade the entire roof area in just a few seconds. An electric one could even be controlled automatically via a thermostat inside the greenhouse :D

Shade cloth outside is much better than having it inside the glazing.
It`s going to be the hottest summer on record this year..alledgedly, so you may need some shade ;)

Well the whole project seems to have gone on stand bye and its driving me MAD!

I was delivered an aluminium base by mistake and company would not take it back, so Martin has gut it up and used it to reinforce the ridge, but he has also decided to add lead flashing, so Hex your idea of awning above all this is giving me food for thought.

Yes Marge I miss the horse - have to say though not in all this wind! and Pete I like your suggestion, I have already bought loads of seed including cleome - just need the job to be finished now!

    Hi Waco
Be careful with mixing metals (lead/aluminium etc) as it can lead to galvanic corrosion.

I don`t think the awning has to be anything special or expensive, pretty much a big roller blind made of shadecloth that runs in 2 channels fixed to the roof ends.
With a bit of ingenuity/imagination you should be able to design one that cranks in and out via a handle ;)

Hex - Martin is interested in galvanic corrosion, do you have any more details please? He says that he could put a layer of thick plastic under lead and on top of the aluminium frame if this would prevent a problem

    Hi Waco
I don`t think you`d need to go that far.
Just painting or adding a sealant where the metals touch would be enough.

If you have standard zinc plated hardware (bolts etc) you might want to consider replacing them with stainless steel or perhaps aluminium versions.
It will add years to the life of the frame and help keep it looking good.. nothing worse than rusty bolts with brown streaks running down the frame ;)

Thanks Hex - will get Martin to do that.

The bolts and stuff are cadmium plated so Martin thinks they will be ok. Yes I hate those awful streaks and green between the plates of glass - one of the reasons we went for larger safety glass.

He has put the floor down today, a mixture of stone flags and pea gravel, so I hope the job will soon be finished - I mean how much longer can the man make the job last!

Mr Waco was true to his word last night then, Waco! Well done, Mr Waco .. [IMG] [IMG] !

Looks very wintery here. Our weather finally cleared up today with lovely blue skies but a nasty wind so I stayed indoors painting (pictures not walls) .. up on my gallery tomorrow evening.
