Leeds Castle, Kent in May

They're storks, Pete. On this (one) occasion I can be absolutely certain because they came with their minder, who helpfully identified them .

 

I did n't know we had storks in the UK . Wow.

 

When we first arrived in the UK we had annual passes for Leeds Castle - I think it was about £80 for the family for the year. We won some tickets last year in a school raffle, so used those - which are only good for the day, yet the other tickets we bought for other family members were good for the year - think they were £16 last year. The grounds take on a very different look each season, and on a nice day, it's a great day out for family - as there are plenty of play areas for the kids as well, so the day can be broken up. To be honest, if you have a good look around the castle and the gardens - you do need more than one day to thoroughly take it all in and enjoy it at a leisurely pace as well. If you think you will return to it, then I think it's definitely a good deal.
