Like a castor oil plant....

    I should or should not some are still sprouting,i have 2 in each pot? but no experience in handling germinating ricinus so not not sure how delicate they are whilst germinating,,seem vigorous thou :biggrin:x

    They are fairly robust. But they do grow quickly, so I would get the germinated ones into their own pots. If they have already germinated 9cm might not be enough, until planting out time, so you might need to pot-on to 1L when the 9cm pot is getting a bit tight :)

      I'm sure that's no problem. From what I remember the chap that died recently eating apple pips had saved up a jam jar full and ate them all in one go.

      The words "poisonous" and "toxic" are bit like "cancer". As soon as we hear them we think fatal. Many "poisonous" plants, or parts thereof, will cause diarrhoea, sickness, pain and general distress but you would have to consume huge amounts to kill you. Of course, there are some that will kill you outright so I don't recommend any personal surveys done by consumption. :)
