lilies and dahlias- when to dig up?

I do agree Pete. I find remembering large numbers of unrelated facts very difficult, but as soon as you understand the reasons, its so much easier. And you can extrapolate it to other situations. A lot of it is fairly obvious once it is explained. So much of ignorance is just the failure to think about it.
