Didn't know that Liz - is it poisonous to them or does it do something to their fur or skin?

After i bought the 2 lillies, re-potted them they have been doing great, just noticed yesterday the red one has lots of large buds just turning colour and has a lot of small buds and they have all fallen off, the small ones that is the large buds are ok is this normal for lillies or could something be wrong.
The yellow ones are growing very long with no sign of ant buds, please advise.

[IMG] Hi rosa, Not too sure, but lilies don't like their root being disturbed, so think it is probably down to that, If they are to stay in that pot, then they will flower well next year.. ;) :D

They are going to stay in that pot i got on the balcony do i need to bring them in, in the winter or will they be ok there.do you cut them down or just leave them, not sure as it is the first time i have had lillies, my neighbour started me off as he has them growing successfully on his balcony. [IMG] They should be fine on the balcony rosa. I would maybe give them some extra ptotection from frost if that is a problem for you. Often on balonies though , plants are proected a little by the building & overhang.. They will die back later in the autumn. After they have flowered feed them well before the winter comes, ready for next year. Just keep them moist in the winter... DO NOT let them dry out as the bulbs will wither & dissappear.... :( Good luck with them & enjoy what you have this year, it's just a taster for next year... :D

Marley here are the two Lilies that opened the other day.
But as we were away to have heavy rain decided to cut take into a vase and have the pleasure indoors as they wood get spoiled to the weather.

Also going on holiday next week.

They are in my front garden but would like to move to back garden get full sun in back.

    Did not flower last yr.

Should I move them? And can you split them?

[IMG] Those are beautifil scotkat. If you move them, do it after flowering, then feed & water well while they settle in. They probably won't flower next year because of the movement, but they doooo like the sun.... :D :D Must dash I'm off out..!!

Lovely pics, Scotkat. What are the red berries with tu-tus on behind the pink one?

I gave up on lillies after I / t'other half got pollen on tableclothes / shirts and never could find anything to remove it!
