bug and slug one didn't follow the limerick line lengths so maybe it just fell apart. :rolleyes: :eek: Lines should be (in terms of number of syllables) 9,9,5,5,9 or 8,8,5,5,8 and rhyming a,a,b,b,a; the only accepted variation on this that I know of is There was a young man from Japan wrote limericks that never would scan when asked why this was he said it's because I always try and get as many words in the last line as I absolutely possibly can.
