3 more rows of peas (eddy, terrain and kelvedon wonder) another 2 rows of carrots (chatenay), 2 rows of beetroot (solitude??) and planted leeks (no idea, prob musselburgh) 4 rows of Nantes carrot in raised box



Plot 2 9/7/17
Pulled up rasps and strawbs. Sown 2 types French bean, borlotto and tendercrop. Also 2 rows of turnip.. not clubroot resistant but hey ho.


1.7kg of blackcurrant!



Made 4 bottle of cordial n 1 tub of jam. NEED TO INVEST IN GLASS JARS AND BOTTLES!

Cheers @Snorky85 ..Think I was quite lucky to inherit a well-grown blackcurrant bush. As much as I like the cordial from it, I might dig it up.. not sure yet, though.

Edit: I only used a kilo of fruit still got 700g in the freezer!

Quite p*ssed off to find my father had cut off all my courgettes and leaves off 2 plants and dumped them on another bed behind. Why Allan, WHY!?! Could have bloody weeded while you were there...



Anyhoo.. after being p*ssed off for a good half hour I find he's put some small trellis under my pumpkin and gourd... No Allan, no. This point I phone my mother and tell her to tell him to get his own b*stard Plot! ..back to plot 1

Was given 3 bits of comfrey to root too.. can't wait to get on the comfrey train.

 

2nd Sept.



Dug and raked over where my peas, onions and potatoes were, put in lupin and rye mix for overwintering. One row of peas stalled in growth and has been hit with mildew.. out they came.. the other 2 rows are doing ok. Corn is so so some cobs are full some jot pollinated properly




Old man has put a pump in the Ibc that's connected to a solar panel and battery on/in the shed.. it works but we can't get the pump to work off just solar.. going to potch about tomorrow.

Some of the things I've grown.. and ate of course! Minus runner beans.. yuk.






Onions garlic courgette and toms.. all from the plot for soup and passata




Carrots, beetroot and 2 mini turnips from plot 2.

 

Learnt how to do this on the phone.. (I know.. could of gone on pc, print screen and go on paint!)

Main plot in green, shared plot in red and poly tunnel in orange.

 

Do you think it might be Flea beetles Linz .... I've got the same holes on some of my Fuschias never had this before
