My prediction is that England will equalise, then Spain will either score a second goal or they'll win on penalties.
We don’t normally play this badly ,our passing is atrocious. We still have time . IN SERINA WE TRUST! IN MARY TRUST,
Fair play. I'm very slightly disappointed our team didn't win, but in my mind they certainly didn't lose either. Regardless of outcome, I think the whole tournament has been a positive thing, not least for challenging preconceptions and prejudices about women in high level, professional sports. Ladies of the world, I salute you all.
We watched it (and don't normally watch Football) and must say I was impressed by all the Ladies, nice looking and not Prima Donnas like the men.
What a shame.... I'm not a sore loser but I don't believe Spain deserved to win.Yes they were fast and lucky but we just couldn't finish today which is hard to swallow as our defense and forwards...all the team ...have been fantastic throughout this world cup. All this throwing yourself on the ground gets on my ning nangs at least when we go down it's because we are actually injured... Well there's my two penneths worth says me an armchair professional football pundit with a glass of Sherry in me 'and
I still think its good they beat Australia, to have gone out via that route would have been awful. I didn't see much of it, just bits, but I dont think they looked like scoring, Spain seemed to be getting nearer. It was good the goalie saved the penalty.
Sad they didn't win, but they should be proud of their brilliant journey to the finals. When they get back here they will certainly have earned the celebrations that are awaiting them.
IMO the best team just about won. Eng didn't play like they normally do. I agree this falling down by Spain was hard to watch.
Just watching the news and England must be the only country in the world where they would go to Spain to see how they are celebrating. And then make the statement that they did well to reach the final, maybe so, but I sometimes wonder why we never win anything.
I wonder what the mood is like across Spain today. Sounds like a daft question, until we consider that there are at least two (that I know of) provinces of Spain that are trying to be independent. I wonder if Basque and Catalan pro independence sorts are experiencing mixed feelings, on the one hand being part of the nation that won, while on the other hand, well, still being part of the nation that won.
