        I'm impressed with the hearth.

I cut down on cables with an auto selector now twenty years old, it takes scart leads, but it means I only have to have one lead to each bit of kit. Whichever of the four remotes I have and press, that's what comes up on the screen.

I saved some hobbies for my old age, those being, golf, vinyl jukeboxes and the saxophone.

I've played an electric piano for decades, the saxophone for about ten years. (I just sound like a beginner). I make backing tracks on the piano and just play along with them for my own amusement. I bought a "cheapo" on e-Bay to start, kept that a year to make sure I was still interested, then sold that on eBay at a good profit and invested in a new Japanese made, Yamaha YTS 62. It lives in that corner, where it's unlikely to get bashed by wife's vacuum cleaner when I'm out. It has got a very nice case, but to put it away, you have to remove the mouthpiece and neck. It's a bit of a bother then to get it out. The mood could have left me by then.

I'm considering an upgrade on my leccy piano this year. Mine's my fifth and I've had it four times as long as any of the others...a Yamaha PSR1000 and it's eighteen years old, (it records to floppy discs!) But still in perfect working order.
The technology has increased in leaps and bounds since then.

I'm considering a second hand Yamaha Tyros 5.

There's plenty on the market. They're a favourite for "home use" by elderly people like me.
Then when they pop their clogs they get put on e-Bay by their kids, having had little use.

I think my grandson has eyed up the tenor sax and my youngest son says he's going to put a sticker on my oldest jukebox.

        This one.

Hi Gail i use wireless headphones or if im gaming i use my little plug in type, when im using it for my hobby sound isn't important and my system also connects to my laptop i can put sound on low, i can have as many screens as i want on the my laptop, its a bit like a sports bar at times,

It works for me and my wife and family we all love sports, when certain events are on we have a big get together on some occasions ive had as many as five tvs not all in the living room some outside and in the summer house/shed etc.

When its not in use i have a fish tank screen saver that looks realistic, if theirs more than one sporting event on we have sound on one of our choice,

Like now the Olympics are on i can sit and watch all events at the same time if i want.

Part of my hobby is a thing called feedhunting, basically i intercept live satellite transmissions, anything can turn up from a football match to a live operation, plenty of sports turn up most Saturdays we can sit and watch a 3pm kick off.

                Some of my findings here.

                  I'm very old fashioned.
The only "computer" game I ever played was "ping pong" on the telly with the kids. I never even bothered with space invaders. What I would have if I had room is an old fashioned pin ball machine with the huge ball bearings and the flippers. The noise of the big solenoid switches on the scoring mushrooms are quite startling. I did get given a Tiger Woods golf game to play on my lap top but have never bothered with it.

My screen saver is John Singer Sargent's Carnation,Lily, Lily, Rose.

I do subscribe to a lot of hobby message boards, mostly about new and vintage audio equipment, music, electric pianos, saxophones, Japanese koi and jukeboxes.

It's all repeats today of the Olympic overnight transmissions I recorded, so I've not bothered with the live programmes.

Our grandson is sixteen. Very bright. Into Minecraft. Won a competition against adults at a games exhibition a couple of years ago. His dad took him, he owns an IT company.
But he's addicted to it. His dad set up a server for him so he and his mates can all get together and play.

Our two youngest grandchildren aged seven and eleven, are both into drawing and writing. They write "plays" and act them.
The seven year old is into, "learn a new word every day and use it in sentences."
I can remember when she was only just six and we were visiting, the word one day was "basically."

She and her older sister, always send us hand-written thank you cards they make themselves
All neatly written with correct grammar and spelling.
