Living with Ground Elder

    I know the Romans brought over rabbits but I didn't know they were responsible for snails as well.

    i have a corner patch which was completely covered in ground elder.
    I dug up what i could, and placed 2 layers of membrane on top, leaving holes for the shrubs.
    I'm just about to tackle the new growth this afternoon, and put yet another layer of membrane down, covered with bark.

    That said, it's the only part of my garden that has it, she says very quietly, so the ground elder gremlins don't hear and migrate to my herb garden!
