Thanks for sharing those pics stongy... inspired me to go on a reminisce trip.. I was born in Chester however my first home was in RAF Sealand from 1981-1984 which is not too far from there I remember travelling over this bridge: http://www.flickr.com/photos/33008569@N08/3075560224 in Queensferry regularly with my mum on the way to and from Chester... I haven't been back since I left but despite being very young I remember it like it was yesterday and still shudder everytime I think of going over that Queensferry bridge.... so ****** walking over that aquaduct :hehe: lol! I would really love to revisit the whole area again at some point in my lifetime though! :)

I'm sure you would love the walk over it Cheryl :) although we did notice that the distance between the railings were wide enough for a small child to slip through!!!!

Loved all your comments on Llangollen and area
We live in Wrexham about 12 miles from Llan and visited it a lot, many many many years ago there is a place above Llan called Worlds End beautiful scenery etc I remember it well I was on my Bsa Bantem and parted company with it on a sharp bend bruised, and bike was a bit of a mess, I had to walk back to Wrexham with it ohhhhhhhhhhh
Also if you are driving in the area you can go up and over the Horse Shoe Pass fantastic views and at the top is a cafe called the ponderosa well worth a visit.
If you visit Llangollen in Sept go on the 4th and 5th the venue is the Great Llangollen Show at the Royal Pavilion
The show will feature hot air balloons ,[ take your camera] classic cars, wall climbing, mountain biking, animals and live falconry plus lots of music
Canal lovers will enjoy the area to, as in the pics of aqueduct area
There is a good pub in the area known as the Trevor Basin called the Telford Arms good meals etc also a series of barges go certain times down to chirk basin and you can book a meal on one of these my wife and I have been on these many times and really enjoyed it

By coincidence Nathan, there was a biker festival on the day we went and the Ponderosa had a couple of hundred bikes there, got to Llangollen and there were possibly a thousand (or two), all the overflow cark parks were full of bikes! everywhere there were bikes. reminded me of our trip to the States two years ago when we got caught up in a Harley festival but of course the Welsh scenery here was better.:)
