Having cut them back in the summer, my roses are starting a second flush.

    Oranges and Lemons yesterday ...

An Oranges and Lemons bud today ...

Oranges and Lemons with Rhapsody in Blue ...

Sunseeker (with the sun coming right through it) ...

Sunseeker going up and over a trellis and is now six foot tall ... this is my 18 inch high patio rose that I brought from England a few years ago ... and it's not gone wild ...

All three of these are highly scented so it's wonderful being near them, especially in the sun. [IMG]

Can anyone tell me if you can move established roses without damage? If so, how? I'm sure I saw this question elsewhere and never read the answer and now don't know where I saw it.

    Thank you.

Thank you Sis and rosa. You should be able to smell them from there, rosa, they are very heady and lovely.

I think this Oranges and Lemons is the best I've found but it is very shrubby with large thorns but to me, worth every one, very headily scented.

T'other half is not a fan of roses but of Bougainvilleas (which I maintain for him) and they are more vicious, thornwise, than roses.

Each to their own ... but I maintain both and get the thorns whichever. [IMG]

What cooler air is that, Babe?

I still think mine are more purple than yours, and open. It could be the sun. [IMG]

The annoying thing is that they are basically one day wonders, all the roses ... an opening bud day, a rose the next, falling apart the next. I'm sure I remember them lasting longer in England.
