London Attack

I certainly hope not @Sandy Ground, but I fear that this is not the last we will see this summer. There is a very definite tension currently; emotions are running high over a number of different things, and nobody seems to be in control of anything. Our emergency services are doing a miraculous job in the face of extreme adversity, but I fear they are spread so thin, they are not fully coping.

There is a rather angry chap on the TV as I type, and some of his anger is directed at the Met for their response time, stating that it took too long and citing the 6 or 7 minute response times after London Bridge etc.

Rightly, the muslim people are angry that this is a targetted attack, and saying that it is unfair as they are already discriminated against; I sincerely hope that given some time, they can see that this attack is NOT carried out in the name of a religion, or by a religion, but rather an attack by someone who is clearly mentally deficient, deeply mentally deficient. NO religion would support attacks of this nature, and we all need to make sure that we do not end up in a situation where it is one group of one religion arguing with another of different religion, here in this country, as this would only serve to further the cause of the terrorist organisations.

I really don't like what this country, and this world has become.

 

Spot on Dai - I must admit, I felt a bit of a twinge when I heard the news this morning, remembering what I had posted only 12 days ago. I think we all need a bit of a break here in the UK to be honest, there has been so much going on you barely get a chance to think!

 

Fire away sir! I really wish there was more we could all do to be honest, so any and all suggestions should be welcomed.

 

It's going to be a cracker I reckon - he has been away typing for a while. @Snorky85 - You get MI5 on the blower, tell them that you are calling on behalf of GCHQ (Gardeners Corner HQ of course!), and I will wait here.......

 

Either way, we need to make sure we document this - wouldn't it be great if the solution to all this horror comes from our very own Dai

 

We all know there is no solution to the terror and racist problems and incidents that the whole World is going through that a free democratic society can use.....unless they are the very solutions that the Terrorists and Racists would like us to use. i.e. their methods. But by the very fact that we're "discussing" this matter in the way we are does mean the Terrorists are winning in subtle ways by causing the very dissension they want to appear in GC Threads. I think the dead, the injured, the bereaved, in all the incidents in London and Manchester and the latest casualties in the Finsbury attack deserve better than GC threads falling into the trap of disagreeing among ourselves and not achieving anything positive. The thread was started to show sympathy and unity among ourselves for the people who died or were injured in the incidents.........but, to be honest, I don't think that that is where the thread is now.
