Right I have the answer, I am going to leave the flowers on if they set a fruit I will leave one on to try (sorry can't help myself) and also this should confirm that there is a pollinator nearby. If by chance a maggot eats the apple before me God help him!

    Hows that???

I was reading last week on a gardening website that bees will travel up to a mile to find quality pollen , and Monty Don said an apple tree up to 500 sq ft away is pretty safe, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and the bees seem to have found it , so far so good.

I cant bring myself to remove the flowers on mine either , looks nice :)

If there`s a pollinator within a half mile you will be fine. As long as it belongs to the same group.

Well look at the picture below I can't bear to remove these beautiful flowers. I think I will see if they start to swell then take a stiff drink then brave the needed work. I feel like a vandal that's an idea may be a hoody would do it for me??

Dave leave the flowers alone, taking them off to encourge developement is a myth. If you`re lucky you`ll have your first fruit this year.:D:thumb:
