Hi Nat, only just caught up too. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Don't know what else to say except there are many on here that can empathise. Tell us all about Sampson - it may seem hard just now but we want to know. He was a biggie wasn't he? Was he soft hearted? Tell us how he used to lay down, taking you with him. Looks a lovely dog from your pic. 7 & 1/2 years is a long time to have a member of the family.

We all feel for you & want you to talk if you feel able (well I'm saying all of us do on behalf of us all - sorry if that upsets anyone ) because I know we all feel for you.

Wish I could help. Have you any pics or stories to tell us? Sampson looks like he would have had some to tell.

    cheers

I am so sorry for your loss.

I know the pain of loosing a truely great friend. Thinking about the ones I have waiting for me at the rainbow bridge still chokes me up to this day and it has been 5 years this christmas since my Dixie left me behind for the pain free rainbow bridge.

Don't let the people who don't understand what a close bond dog and human have with each other get you down. Just remember you was both lucky to have such a great friendship with each other.

He was such a good boy, he would carry in the shopping and if the back door was open put it in the garden because he thought thats where it went:dh:,He had 2 blankets he would suck and paw at like a cat he loved them, I used to wrap presents up for him birthdays and christmas he loved ripping the paper to bits and finding his presents, this christmas will be very hard without him.
