          Sounds an absolute nightmare!!

I had to move due to "inconsiderate" neighbours (I'm being polite). I don't think I'd be here today if I'd carried on living there to be honest. The house was owner occupied too, so that makes it even more difficult to find resolution.

At least now you have a good idea of what you would like to do to *that* garden, it will help you when you get another garden (it just won't take you another 8 years to make your mind up ;) :heehee:)

I'm a firm believer in all things happen for a reason; even if it isn't clear at the time. Things have a way of working out for the better in the long run.

Ahh @M, I feel for you hun, its so sad they have to disrupt other peoples lives for their own sadistic amusement, sometimes people don't even realise they do such selfish things!
It was causing me a lot of stress and anxiety last year ..to the point I won't go out there now if they are, so I've finally given in after more pcso's were sent round just last week over "parking issues" (when they were attending next doors' for a separate incident! cheeky so and so's!) so we're off.. even stressed to the pcsos we're the 3rd family in 8 years to move due to them and have a had log with their housing association since 2012! The joys of living on a council estate :( but yes I can see what you mean I'll have more of an idea what I can do with my next space, most places round here have tiered gardens or have been concreted over so think I'll have a challenge on my hands next year!

Give the kids the task of watering the seedlings a few days ago.. Should of supervised them a lil more, echinops and my sole larkspur (that survived the cats) has drowned! Cosmos, 1 snapped (cat) the other looked weak as the seed case got stuck and poor germination on snapdragons, have about 6 I could use :doh:Sown another lot of each minus snapdragons :fingers crossed:

Peas I started off have wilted as I just haven't moved them on, am feeling bit defeated on the veg front :( maybe next year.

Pepper plant and Tom's are fine though. Petunia and fuschia were getting leggy so pinched them and they're starting to bush out :) Livingstone daisy are floppy as usual, cactus dahlia are up no bedding though, rudbeckia, delphinium and coreopsis (sown again as I lost it) has germinated.

Had another gander this morning and give everything a bit of a feed. Clematis has shot up an inch or 2, peony has a few leaves, camellia still looks sickly, gonna have to pull it up and stick it in a pot I think.

Lasanges (not gonna use as many bulbs next year!)

White daffs finally opening.. not as "cheerful" as they're named!

Lupin, (still can't believe I DIDNT kill it, slugs are still rampant though)

And this pretty thing, had no idea it flowered. 20160407_095937.jpg

Not gonna start anything else off, haven't got the time atm!

Yup was just about to say the same: Skimmia. And, I'll add that I have two and neither have flowered in all the time I've had them. Which suggests to me I have two of the same sex  And in your case, Lynd, somewhere nearby you have a "mate" for your own skimmia for it to flower (love is in the air  )

With your lasagne pots, I hope you don't mind, but I would suggest that when you layer your bulbs (going upwards) you also consider their final height. Then, put your taller ones nearer the centre and your lower ones nearer the edge. I think you'll find it will give a really cool look to your pots  Not that they don't look fab as they are, because they do :dbgrtmb:

Ooh thank you both! There's a big pot of them down the road in a front garden and I was wondering why they hadn't flowered and mine had
Will check those pic albums out now @BeeHappy, cheers!
Dont mind at all @"M" I"ll take that on board :blue thumb: really not going to cram them in next time either or put as many diff bulbs in, some have come up blind and I have no idea what they might be :oopss: :heehee:

oh forgot about this thread.. yep got a cardboard box full of different bulbs ready to go in :blue thumb: Not sure on combinations yet though. Still waiting for deliveries off T&M, got 200 spring bulbs off them to come  another reason I'm eager to get the border done asap so I can get some in round the back. Are you doing any lasagne pots or are they going elsewhere?

No, I hadn't planned on lasagne pots, I have beds which will benefit from any bulbs I have begging this year. I do have a couple of troughs on the patio though which have some Spring bulbs in there (a few of which are already sprouting! :dunno: ).

That is a lot of bulb you've got there! :heehee:

Ah lovely! Might have an early show then? I'm just gonna stick to 3 types in a pot I think and then stick a few in the font bed where I can see a gap. Way too many bulbs.. would you like some?

                                Bit of an update..

lots of things from seed got wiped out by cats and myself.. all a learning curve!

Made a front bed and pleased to say a good number of plants were from seed or what I already had so it came in pretty inexpensive.
