Well, gales are a different thing, altogether!
Me? I'm well poorly and I cleared *all* the snow yesterday as well as quite a few jobs around the garden. I feel cheated if an illness (which I invariably get from a family member) robs me of a few days of work.

Family are always generous, FB, and will pass on the "plague" to others so you can "enjoy" the experience.:heehee: Clearing snow and odd jobs, in the freezing cold, around the garden is probably not a recommended path for recovery!!!:coffee:

Get well soon! Yes you're right, it is frustrating when something else gets in the way of what you've planned to do. Especially at this time when we're all champing at the bit to get things going outside. :)

I was hoping to get some early seeds under way tomorrow, but with the high winds I'll be tucked up indoors instead.

Well, I just crept into the shed to see if I could retrieve something - only to find many of my prepared seed trays have fallen over. Don't know why it happened as yet but had enough strength to breathe out and shut the door again! I'll try again tomorrow! Thanks for the well-wishes!

I start my sweet peas on a windowsill in early Feb this year. Then move them into the GH when they have germinated. Then again I have had no luck with SPs for the last 3 years :gaah: So best to ignore this post
Chilli seeds were planted today , I don't plant anything else until the end of Feb.

Not seed sowing yet but got perennials in 9 cm pots from GC.....lupins, Verbena, delphiniums, Erysimum Bowles mauve etc. they are itching to grow now so I've potted them Into bigger pots, then pot on twice more until spring when they will be large garden size plants that will flower their socks off throughout summer.
