Magnolia help please

Totally the wrong time of year to chop up a grandiflora. If you must prune it then wait until spring, so that at least any new shoots have a chance to harden off a bit.

Couldnt find much online but http://www.bbc.co.uk/lancashire/content/articles/2008/01/08/magnolias_feature.shtml says to leave until spring.

 

Hi I don't know much but only that the recent Magnolia i bought (not this variety) said it does not like pruning and to avoid if possible.
