    Well I've given mine a full test drive now and I must say I'm impressed. If you are looking for a tool that you can take to your uncultivated patch, fire it up and give you instant friable soil then you a looking in the WRONG place. On the other hand if you've soil that has had a fork put to it reasonably recently and not choked with weeds then this little chap will quite easily chew it into breadcrumbs quite quickly. The shape of the tines make it an aggressive little fellow and using it in a back and fore motion will make it go deeper and deeper. Factor in a 1 minute stop to clear the tines of built up soil or roots etc every few minutes and you'll be fine
