    Hi jjordie,
    I use a Nikon Coolpix 7900 for all my flower photos. It is brilliant for close ups and you can get to within an inch or so from your subject. Best thing is to look at the handbook and then practise, practise, practise - after all it doesn't cost anything as you have no film to waste.

    I get the picture (pardon the pun :D )
    it's a case of practising a lot - which I will try to do.

    Read the handbook? well, a lot of it seems a bit complicated and then suddenly I realise what it means. :rolleyes:

    I will keep trying.............

    Nice poppies Petal, but surely not in May? Not this May anyway - unless they are Arctic poppies ;)

    [​IMG] I was hanging on by my finger tips to the cliff face when I took the pic..you should have heard Mrs Pal shouting at me to get down incase I fell...I had the car keys in my pocket :D
