                Hi Strongy,

Yes it was in the grounds of the hotel in Diani Beach. 3pm and very hot. Well it seemed so wearing a tie and that! I took my own camera gear and got the hotel photographer to take the photos and vids. He did a good job but he took us around the pool area and the beach - i felt a right berk lol

Was wanting to ask you how your trip went??

There are 'a lot' of pics here, Wildlife and Members gallery threads. Everything we hoped for except the weather was sometimes cool with some rain.
Did you get out on a Safari?

We had some rain overnight and on the way back from the safari. All in all though on safari it was overcast with very good diffused light rather than harsh sunlight.
We only saw Lions of the big cats.......however managed to get some shots of them actually feeding on a kill in water! Our guide who had worked in the mara for 5 years said it was the first time he had seen this and said it was extremely rare.

A bull Elephant charged our landrover which was scarey and two lions walked past our tent in the evening stalking game. It was an open camp and we couldn't leave the tent at nightfall without the escort of a local tribesman. I really don't know why because if Lions attacked I don't think it he have made much difference unless he knows how to keep them at bay? Perhaps he would have told us to run while he sacrificed himself!!

We did see an Elephant warn a bus that was too close but never charged.
I'd like to see some pics.

I used to love watching them giving themselves a dust bath and turning themselves from grey to red......marvellous. You always had to take care when near the Cows and calves as they were always ready to give a few warning charges and I think I would rather face a Bull Elephant rather than a Cow defending her young!!!:runforhills:
