All of your roses seem much further on than mine. Everything in bud and looking promising, but only one pathetic little bloom on Arthur Bell

but at least he has taken the 1st bloom accolade away from Toyah this year…

@Mrs Hillard is Kathleen Harrop also thornless like Zephirine please? And is she also a straggly climber? Yours looks rather neat growing.

Yes it's thornless just like ZD.. it's essentially the same rose except for colour..
I don't find it straggly at all, I would describe it as spreading.. it's growing along my railings, but also ascending two obelisks I have nearby. I've not had it long - 2 years I think. I had ZD for some years but wanted a change of colour.
I much prefer this one to be honest.

'Lady Waterlow' looking magnificent and I like the 2 little 'birds' perched nearby.

@OwdPotter .. you have a lot to look forward to and we will be enjoying all of yours before too long..

I only have buds too. Think Generous Gardener will be the first to flower, there's a bud almost open but it's up really high so won't be able to sniff it

Harlow Carr will probably be next, or maybe Boscobel.

Loving the roses now starting to do their thing....first flowers on Warm Welcome, Jacqueline du Pre, Maigold, Golden Showers (which has lost most of its leaves yet again), Tottering-by-Gently and Astronomia, and lots of buds on everything else. My new Pheno Geno Ruby Mella is looking good in its pot, it has the most exquisite foliage, dark burgundy now turning a wonderful glossy dark green, slow to bud up but can't wait to see flowers!

@Mrs Hillard, Lucky! is a stunning rose. :) I had roses in my previous garden and this one always put on a wonderful display, very disease resistant too. I'm not a lover of pink roses but this one had a lilac hue.

Yes, lovely pics. Unusual colour on this rose, which as you say has high disease resistance too, and keeps its foliage well into winter.. Very tall floribunda in the 5-6 foot range..
Makes a nice change mixed in with other roses of all types.

Has anybody got Rosa "Phyllis Bide"?
I planted one last autumn and it's starting to grow nicely but no buds yet.
