Marley a good way to avoid this sensation of pressure is to chew some spearmint while you are out walking .. it can often help ..whats happening is your Eustation tubes that are situated on both sides of your throat and connect to near your middle ear are not operating properly, and therefore not equalising the pressure .. most folk suffer from this syndrome .. woa :thud: had a mother of all attacks last night whilst driving home, the headache suddenly exploded and the sickness was instant ( poor daughter cleaned the car after helping me out )thank fully the veritgo didnt hit until i tried to get out of the car, had to phone daughter to help me so glad she lives next door !! still a tad whossey but much better than last night !
just been to get my hearing aid :dancy: and i am amazed by how much i can hear !!!! have to wear it for a few hours aday over the next month so that the brain doesnt get to overwhelmed with hearing the new sounds then i will wear it all the time

this scan didnt actually happen as the radiographer wasnt happy to do it as i had previous ops in my ears, douldnt phone my ent surgeon had to write to him Even though they are in same hospital !!!! I am now due to have it this friday afternoon

      thanks loli,
as bad as the attack was i think the embarrassment of my daughter having to clean the car was worse than the attack, i havent been laid up today like i have previously the attack seems to have gone as quick as it hit which is really odd, glad to say the spinning has stopped too now so other then feeling exhausted i am feeling fine now !
but just been to the green house and am gutted, never went in yesturday for obvious reason and cant believe how many plants are looking as poorly as i did yesturday have just spent an hour in there giving the kiss of life and water to the poor thing .... OH who bless him took over with my care when he got in from work has just had a row for not checking the greenhouse !

loli has your brother spoken to dr about his symptoms

Glad you're ok Kaz:dbgrtmb:....and yes my brother had a benign tumour and had it removed about ten years ago..but to get to it they had to dismantle his ear drum and this resulted in being left with tinnitus and damage to the nerves....he's been given a hearing aid but just can't get used to it ,everything is too loud !He gets quite bad tempered with it sometimes which is understandable...even though i could beat his brains in sometimes:heehee:...
Some time ago my late FIL was actually thrown off a bus as the driver thought he was drunk:hate-shocked:he was mortified....he suffered with menieres for years....It still annoys me now.....

yes i agree with the hearing aid all seems really loud but it does has a volume control and an off switch ! :lunapic 130165696578242 5: just had two grandchildren here and after 10mins i turned it down and after 20mins i took it out

i know the FIL feeling one of the clients i was caring for thought i was more than half cut going to work on day i was mortified :hate-shocked: that was the final straw in going to the drs!

I had it and the main symptoms was tinnitus and dizzy spells leading to unconciousness which happened without any warning. Because I wasn't deaf my doctor said it was temporary and prescribed Cinnarizine. It lasted for over six years and during that time I had to keep my head still as much as possible and avoid bending and looking up and down. It has amost disappeared for the last two years with only a little light-headed feeling once in a while. Anyone who suffers from it has my sympathy.
