    Yeah, trouble is I never did like bonsai.

    A very restricted kind of growth.
    Totally unnatutral, and very "in control",
    suppose thats the modern way.:)

    Pete, how can you call it " the modern way " It`s been done in the Far East for hundreds of years?

    In the far east yes, cant say I've ever liked what goes on in the far east mate.:)
    They drag dogs behind cars to tenderise the meat, so I am told.

    Unfortunately, most of the far east is over here.:D

    We would all like to grow things the "natural way " Pete and to its full potential but unfortunately not everyone has room so compromises have to be made and i'm with David on this you can with proper care grow anything in a pot or a restricted space, in fact nature sometimes does it for us.

    The kids have one in their garden, we planted it years ago and it is thriving.

    I'll put some pics up later on, going out now, over to the kids in fact, might take some more.

    About 20 years, Pete. It is about 10 meters high, I think. Our son cut some of the lower branches off a year or two ago.

    These pics were taken last year. Must still look if the one I took today looks better, but I'll do that tomorrow.
