Now there is a star if ever there was one. When she was called the most beautiful woman in the world, they weren't far wrong. Those eyes- you could have drowned in them.

Too true, Aaron, but I also thought Sophia Loren was one of the world's classics. Of course, then there was Brigette Bardot ....

Nah, not a patch on Elizabeth. She's still seen as the epitome of Cleopatra and as for "Cat on a hot tin roof"...

Don't forget Vivien Leigh-easily a match for any of the Hollywood starlets.

But I echo what Pro says in a way. It's not like he was a personal friend of mine so whilst I can feel for his family and friends it doesn't make me particularly sad.

Ok . so jacko has died. a sad day and now we have weeks and weeks of media coverage to remind us all of the fact.
Its as though nothing else happened in the world yesterday.
This morning at five I turned the TV to BBC news,, guess what? MJ.
I turn to SKY news, guess what? MJ.
I turn to SKY 8 screen multi. What did I get? Seven screens out of eight reporting that MJ has died.
I turn to SKY later and what do I see. Kay Burley has flown to LA to stand outside MJs house and report on traffic movement.
Im I missing something here guys?
I wonder how many new laws have been slipped in yesterday by our government under the blanket coverage of MJs death.
Rant over, and yes I do have a copy of MJs thriller and I do think It is still one the best pieces of showmanship ever.
To me thats what he was, a showman.
    Thanks for listening

I do find the hysteria demonstrated by some people around the world when they heard he had died a little disturbing. Few of them will have met him and even fewer of them will have known him. Yet because of the continual media interest in celebrities, people think they do know him. It's the Dianan phenomenon all over again. Oh dear.

And I see the rumour mongers are hard at work now - all sorts of theories being bounced about over what actually killed him. Will it be Marilyn all over again? Apparently the post mortem could take several weeks....HUH??

Jacko - great performer who will be missed. :thumb:

Media - the silly season has arrived early. :hehe:

Government - a bunch of useless jerks who are pleased that the media have Jacko as their only topic of interest  :old:

He obviously has a mass following but I cant see how people could idolise someone who was taken to court for child abuse (weren't they paid off?), held (and nearly dropped) a baby over a balcony and seemed to be ashamed of being black by having his hair straightened and his face 'whitened'.

If he was inocent then why did he pay the victim 20million dollars?

The guy might have been a good musician but he was an unnrepentant kiddy fiddler.

Pro, was it only 20 mill? He went bankrupt because of it. He was going to do a lot of time. The man was a down and out child molester. Kathy, I was physically abused by my father when I was a boy, but I never tried to change the colour of my skin. Michael Jackson needed serious help. And he didn`t get it.
