Mincemeat Slices

Sinbad just made your mincemeat slice omitting mincemeat and added sultanas ,dates,1 egg and milk to bind .

Its just out of oven and still so tasty .

 

Mmmm I'll have to try that Scotcat,its years since I've had dates, my mum used to love them always had some in the house.
I've been making blueberry muffins made last night gone by lunch time today, I only had 1

 

I made these slices at Christmas and added chopped nuts, cranberries and booze to the mixture. I put some flaked almonds on top to make them look pretty. 'Nice', said my brother in law, 'I haven't had Mr Kipling's slices in years'.
