    Seeker, get some mothballs and put in the runs. Moles hate the smell of camphor and it will drive it away. David.

    If they are not doing any damage then the best thing is not to fill in the run. I think most of the damage is when they dig out their runs. They then settle down to patrolling up and down grabbing any worm or insect that falls in.
    I did read in the book "Gardening and Beyond" that Florence Bellis used to drop s****s of left over meat in the runs. She thought that the smell of the decomposing meat wafting down the runs kept the other moles away.

    Many thanks geoffhandley for your input. Unfortunately my moles are more the pioneering kind, and when they get tired of their little patch, move on to make more mayhem.
