I also hope Monty has a speedy recovery.

My sympathy to his family -

my own husband was rushed into hospital yesterday having suffered
    a major heart attack. :(

:) Get well soon Monty,I bet you watch this site.........;)

I have always had a lot of time for Monty,a good gardener and good presenter, but I think that trip around the 80 gardens was a mistake career wise and obviously health wise.
Look forward to seing him back on TV soon.

Jjordie so sorry to here about hubby......kind regards to you both and fingers crossed for a full recovery.

Thank you Moyra, Anthony and Roders for your good wishes
and the kind people who pm'd me. Messages will be passed on
    to Jack.

Amazing what a difference a day makes as the song goes as
he was looking soooo much better today after 24 hours special care
and if he keeps up the progress they will let him come home in five days.
He was actually trimming the hedge when first felt ill - so will have to
follow strict orders just to watch the grass, and the hedge, grow for a while!

Jjordie that's really nice to know that Jack's doing so well when he comes out of hospital you will have to do a very good impression of Hattie Jacques (from the Carry On films) and play Matron ...... firm but fair!
I know you are going to have your work cut out for you as some guys just don't know how to take things easy! Good luck. ;)Hel.xxx.

Just to let you all know, since jjordie will have her hands full for the rest of the day, Jack had stents inserted yesterday and is being discharged this afternoon! Now that's what I call FAST!!

And as for the Hattie Jacques crack - that's MY role, thank you very much!!
