I know those plug in thingers are effective but i'm a bit concerned about what they might do to us nearly humans.

There are supposed to be a lot of mozzies where we are going but we can't take risks even at £120 for 48 anti malaria tablets!!! Definitely got Deet repellant.
Had loads of bites here already.

If you told me after the Restaurant at Shiney's do, then I probably forgot:doh:

But thanks again for the lift home:dbgrtmb:

Are you sure you need all these jabs just to visit Brownsea Island again? I'm sure it wasn't that bad when Baden Powell took us there in the Scouts.

Your GP should give you ALL your jabs for free!!
Only malaria tablets are private prescription.

Edit: just been told we didn't get YF jabs lol

I am shocked at the prices for such essential precautions. Malaria precaution is simply quinine tablets!

In 1989 I had the privilege to go to Guinea, West Africa, on business when I worked for a diamond mine and all of my injections and medications were paid for by the company.

I had to go to Halton Air Base, Wendover, Bucks, for my live shots and I must say that I got Typhoid before I went and I was very, very ill. T'other half called the doc to have him say, 'she'll get through it, better she got it here rather than there ...' Too true! I also came back with River Blindness, a horrible irritation of the eyelids which at the time there was no precautionary medication.

I say, take whatever medications/precautions are necessary ... but be prepared for the worst and hope for the best ...
