@Irmemac I once stayed in a hotel overlooking Cumbernauld. It was at the top of a long drive with a Dobbies Garden Centre at the bottom. It was a very nice hotel with good food and very friendly, obliging staff. It was definitely one of my better experiences.

A can't remember what we did on that trip but I believe it might have been the time one of my passengers had heart palpitations whilst waiting for the Falkirk Wheel boat ride. The boat left before the ambulance arrived. I missed out on a boat ride.

I know the hotel you mean. Once went to the Dobbies and it was all cordoned off as someone was found at the gate with fatal knife wounds. You had a narrow escape there, Jack! You missed a treat with the boat trip.
