Just my OCD again mate, still trying to figure out how I'm going to get a perfectly level low hedge on both sides. Oh well, got a couple of years to figure it out.

A strange thing happened this morning, I checked the water butt just to see how much rain we have had in the last 24 hours, not much I thought even though lots were forecast, then I saw movement and a blooming frog was in there. But how did it get in???? My butt is at least 5 foot off the ground and only has about a foot depth of water. There's no way the frog can jump that high so can they climb??? Well I rescued it as the butt has a lip at the top and no way it would be able to climb out and with no food may have struggled. Really weird. He was released back into the border. It's kind of re fuelled my want of a small wildlife pool.

Hahaha ... brilliant low-key repost! I'll be round to inspect next Tuesday, OK? :heehee:

The Fox is off stage-left in the picture above, I seem to remember that the scene is actually across the main driveway. Only seen it in pictures, dunno if it is impressive in-the-flesh?

          Found him :)

Ladew Gardens in Maryland, USA. The scene is even visible on Google Satellite image!

An outing-event for GC - what do you think? :heehee:

Very artistic Kristan. Alas, at my rate, it will be twenty years before I could create a golf ball let alone a fox!

Sounds like a good garden visit, you paying :snork:

Hopefully visiting Great Dixter on Sunday. Hoping to get some ideas for the front of the border with hot colour flowers. Too much pastel this spring. Loads of blue. Praying for dry weather.

Mr Grinch, if you're coming our way today we're opening our garden again from 10.30 - 12.30.

We don't expect many people, maybe a dozen who missed the open day and asked us if they could come. We've got some tea and cake laid on :dbgrtmb:. The garden looks completely different from the way it looked on Open Day.

                            Got back at hour ago.

Great Dixter first then Sissinghurst. The only trouble was that i didnt actually get in to Sissinghurst as by the time we had got there there was only 90 min of the day left and i wasnt going to pay the huge entry fee. We went for the free walk around the estate which was lovely.

                            Picks to follow.
