Agree with Penny, these old church buildings are fascinating to look at, thanks for sharing Ziggy.

We came across this one while on holiday in Dartmoor last summer. It's Brent Tor church, not far from Tavistock.
It sits atop the hill in magnificent isolation, with splendid views in every direction.

It's quite a climb on foot from the nearby road up to the church, there were actually a couple of blokes doing some restoration work inside the church at the time. I couldn't help thinking it must be a bit of a b***er if you get all the way up there and then realise you've forgotten something you need for the job!

Also had me thinking how on earth did they build it right up there?

      Nice one Trunky.

i've had that problem when working up 13 lifts of scafolding, you don't want to be forgetting your trowel.

Worked on Tawstock Church, but have no pics of that. Got moved to another job just before it came to digging the trench through the plague pit:(

Would have enjoyed that, imagine the opening line down the pub "Did I tell you about the time I caught the Black Death?":heehee:

            During and after.

That was one job I needed to make sure I had all the kit before going up:DOH:
