Since I acquired my jukebox six months ago, I've steadily replaced the records with which it came (too many Brit pop) with records of my own choice. Many of these are "mint" from the "Collectables" series from the USA, I guess it's cost me well over £200 to get what I want and I'm now in the position that if I buy any more, one of the eighty that are already in, will have to come out! But I can't help trawling e-bay and other specialist suppliers for little gems now and again. My collection is mostly Motown and 50/60s USA pop, with a bit of Doo-Wop.

On that subject I've just found this which I had to buy. Either LaBelle or Rod Stewart's slot is under threat. I've already got "Since I Don't Have You" by the same group.

For those interested, this is my collection, I'm sure there's some of your favourites amongst them. I keep a list as it prevents me from buying something I already have! (I've a few not in the machine).

Love your jukebox selection Doghouse. Tamla has alway be my favourite type of music, Especially, Marvin's "Grapevine". Mind you, this is run a close second as my favourite record of all time by Gnarls Barclay's Crazy, Tamla Motown in everything but name. Unfortunately, I can't find the original video which has amazing graphics based around inkblot or rorschach tests. Worth tracking down if you can find it.

My Mum is responsible for a lot of my musical tastes ( although IO don't think she would have accepted the Nine Inch Nails period lol).

but this guy was on all the time

and my favourite one ( I regularly kill it on the karaoke)

I used to like Stevie Wonder, but went off him when he recorded "I just called to say I love you." I can't stand that song.

You'll notice that Diana Ross and the Supremes are absent from my list. This is deliberate as there were much better girl groups.

I'm still looking for a good copy of this

Doghouse, a lot of what you have put up there are in my record collection :gnthb: - plus loads more. Most of my 45's are ex-juke box records because in the late 50's I used to run a record stall in the market. I can't remember how much I sold the records for but the middles were 1p.

I also like ballad style music and this was a nice song from the show The Fantastiks - supposedly the longest running musical.

This version is the unusual combination of Nana Mouskouri and Harry Belafonte.

Dog house, that's a lovely version of 'Over The Rainbow' :thumb:

Peri, I like the unusual timing and phrasing of 'Wild Horses' :thmb:

    some great songs there :)

my tastes are wide ranging. Madonna, Meatloaf, Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Evanesscence (or however you spell it :lollol:), Within Temptation, Savage Garden, Jill Tracey, too many to mention!

One of my faves is Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds :thumb: view with caution, adult themes.

Randy, I'm not sure that I like that one. The music is alright :thumb:, the bad language I can ignore :) but the content is wrong :(. I suppose that is called poetic licence :hehe:

Lee Sheldon (Stagger Lee) shot Billy Lyons in 1895 in Bill Curtis's saloon because Billy took Lee's Stetson hat during an argument about politics. Lee died of TB in jail on March 11th 1912. (St Louis Globe 1895).

It teaches you not to argue about politics :rotfl:

      Sad, aren't I? :hehe:
