:thmb: Heard this one again today... 1st time for a few years I had forgotten about it.... Brings back memories of travelling to work by train to Bath every day, the 1st Bath Blues Festival..... :yho:The 60s & very early 70s were good years...... :D Amongst my music tastes which are varied, there has always been room for Ska & later Reggea music in my life.....:D Remember this.? Did you used to go dancing on a Friday or Saturday night too.?:hehe:

Marley did you go to the Bath Festival in '70, I did .
As I remember there was a festival in Rotterdam the same weekend and many American bands came over to do both.
Led Zeppelin, Donovan, Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Steppenwolf, Flock, The Byrds, Fairports, Zappa and It's A Beautiful Day, were only part of the line up.:gnthb:

Marley and Strongy, I don't remember seeing you both there :hehe:. I certainly remember the mud as well as the music :lollol:

I went to the Big Sur Folk Festival in September '69 but I never appeared on the film they made of it. Shame on them :rotfl:

Hi folks. I too went to Pilton, but the year after, '71. As I remember, it was a great weekend with fab weather, no rain at all !! I remember there was this one act, Magic Michael, he played a guitar wearing absolutely nothing. To this day I still don't understand what that was about. Ah well, maybe I'm not 'groovy' enough :) BTW, some great names there in that list, Marley :thumb:

Hi Marley. Thanks for reminding me who was there :thumb: Now you mention it, there was SOME rain and as you say, there was a little nudity going on :) Remember 'Let's Work Together' ? :D I didn't do Reading, in fact, Pilton was pretty much my only festival experience. Went to quite a few gigs/one-day type thingies though. Ahh, the good old days eh ? :D

This isn't a song but it might interest a few people (probably very few) :)

The song Mr Bojangles has been recorded by well over 50 performers including Sammy Davis Jr, Nina Simone, John Denver, Neil Diamond, Harry Nillson and Robbie Williams.

It was a true story about Bill "Bojangles" Robinson who is acknowledged to be one of the best tap dancers ever.

Here is a clip from a 1935 film with him and Shirley Temple.

If you don't like tap then you will hate it :hehe:
