I remember ice on the windows - getting dressed in bed for school - lino floors , they got so cold it made you move quick in winter :D The house was heated by a single coal fire , that had to be lit every morning. Ahhh the good old days !

Same here, the mad dash to get downstairs to the fire. I'm amazed that we never had a pipe burst that I remember.

I do remember sleeping in the "hammock" where the sheets were tucked into the matress when my Brother pushed me out of the single bed.

 

Surely not as big as the Great Barrier Reef.
