New thatch type finish to the roof of the summerhouse, I will make a fancy facia board later when the weather improves.

I will have to either clip the hens wings or raise the height of the grass topped wall to stop the little blighters from hopping over to freedom. :skp:

Your right G M the gates have quite a history, Pal is not far wrong when he says my bike has been chained to them I have stood on the steps of the townhall behind the gates with full cycling kit and bike having a presentation off the mayor for raising money for charity on one of my rides. Here's a bit of info on the gates, http://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/lifestyle/iconic/3731255.Golden_Gates/

16.46 mtrs wide eh? Wide enough for the mini then arn't they? Good piece of info, imagine that pompous Queen refusing the gift because of something standing behind which shee didn't like. Talk about snobbish and churlish. So Walnut, you are a cyclist then! Nice to hear of folks doing things for charity, the charities are going to be suffering during the ressesion and no mistake. We should all do our bit to help. One of the easiest ways to help at this time of year is to give any unwanted christmas presents to them and also have a good clear out of your wardrobes. Good quality clothing will sell quickly in this weather and bring in some much needed revenue.

    Paladin,
Here are the pics of the urn after some very hard work.
I used wire brush attachments on my cordless to strip off all paint and then went to town on it.
The finish on the fruit and vines etc is copper paint, the main urn is high gloss black.
Any comments will be taken on board.
    This is it scoured off.
    Gloss coated twice.
Grapes, vines and flutted areas picked out in copper.

Planted up with 2 heathers, 2 skimmia , 2 eunimous and a dwarf golden conifer.

Excellent work there that Urn looks fab. If you'd have described it to me without a pic i think i'd have thought it wasa bit garish but seeing it in the pic it looks well expensive. Love the chickens too and the fence and gate and summerhouse well everything lol
