    @Victoria ,

    The Pieris likes rich soil but not Alkaline,..plenty of Compost of course and full to partial shade so its possible to create a spot where they will grow in your garden.

    I found a solitary plant in bloom on the meadows two years ago,..rescued it as where it grew would be flooded for months,.finally its in bloom.

      Fell asleep three times today :),..the blood thinning and anti blood clotting meds really have me slowed down to a slow march,..still it stops me from doing too much.

      There are 12 buds showing now on the Clivia minata,..just some in bloom today.

        It may be a 'forced' slow down Philip but it's not a bad thing until you're properly sorted out. Go with the flow and look after yourself. :)

            Arty,..i like that :),..i really am taking it easy,..:hapfeet: though i did go for an hours walk today as it was very warm,..walked about 20 yards then stopped for a breather every further 20 yards,..i didn't apply any pressure at all.

            Visited the Doctor and like yourselves she told me to take it easy,..next visit is to the Cardiology Clinic on 22nd of next month.

                    @Victoria ,

                    Victoria those Geraniums will have a better show in about 2 weeks,..i will force myself not to use the pruning pieces as cuttings,..its a habit that's hard to resist,..i started out with 6 plants from seed now there are 14 plants.

                    Ah yes most places are opening Garden Centers,..i badly need Manure for my roses,..i have 2 Roses bloomed today.

                    Rose ( Rosa 'Korresia' ),..a strongly scented rose.

                      Excellent photos/ I have Rosa. Handel as a climber, this is an exception to my rule as I don't usually go for duel/multicoloured roses. Handel is a real Beaute.

                              Marsh Marigold,..also named 'King Cup',..Caltha palustris.

                              Just came into bloom though lots of buds showing the promise of many blooms to come.

                              I keep this in a container that has no drainage holes,..its quite happy to be full of water but doesn't thrive on very dry long periods,..its a wild plant of course.
