Oh Philip what an ordeal you've been through.:yikes:

Difene's active ingredient is Dicoflenic, I was on Dicoflenic for years and years but I was also given stomach liners to take with it. I decided to stop all of them a few years back now as I hated the thought of the potential harm they could cause my insides. It's still one of the many drugs that my brother has to take and due to all of his other meds his care team have to ensure he has his stomach liners.
Over time you will be able establish a new menu/ ways of cooking and then begin enjoying a variety of meals again without any adverse effects.
To some degree ( hopefully without serious effects) as you already know for the time being it's a case of learning by trial and error.

One step at a time Philip...for now enjoy and take solace in your beautiful garden. :grphg:xx

After feeling a bit guilty I just wanted to say that I meant Philips in and out was meaning in and out of the forum and not anything else. I see now it could be taken differently as to how it was meant.

              Hi Upsydaisy,

Ah yes i am learning now but no thanks to the medics who prescribed the medication,..they never mentioned anything about liners,..i only learned the groin hernia could be eased back inside after the 5th visit to A&E,..that was from a doctor who happened to pass my bed and informed me that he had suffered from the groin hernia himself,..as for food intake i am learning quickly.

You were wise to stop taking the Difene,..its certainly lethal without the liners,..yes one step at a time and making progress,..xx
