Some people get lots of really unexpected lingering symptoms. For most they subside eventually.

For a while, I was genuinely worried I might have early onset dementia. I got lost in the town centre that I've known all my life, lost my glasses while wearing them, forgot the names of people I've known for years, all sorts. I also had tinnitus for a good many weeks after, and completely random muscle pains.

Every case is different. I'm sharing my experience not because I expect yours to be the same, but in an attempt to reassure that weird things can happen for a little while after, but for most things gradually return to normal. If in doubt, talk to the GP, because long covid is real, and doctors are learning more and more about it all the time.
